MacDuff's Pub - South Lake Tahoe

If you are looking for a restaurant to satisfy your hunger, MacDuff's will do the trick! With their generous portions, variety of food options, and excellent customer service, I will be back.

While driving around Lake Tahoe, my friend Samantha and I were starving from the hike we had just finished at Cascade Fall's Trail. Samantha stumbled upon MacDuff's while looking online for places to eat. Upon arrival, we enjoyed the curb appeal of the restaurant.

The portions were perfect after long day of hiking and being on the road. I recommend arriving at MacDuff's Pub with ravionous appetite.

The quality of the food, the customer service, and the atmosphere, allowed us to have a delightful experience. I would recommend MacDuff's pub to a friend who was looking for a place to eat in South Lake Tahoe.

The Food

I ordered the homemade New England Clam Chowder, served in their freshly made bread bowl. The flavor was delicious and it had the perfect amount of creaminess. I enjoyed how they made the Clam Chowder with larger chunks of celery, and potatoes. Almost every spoonful of chowder seemed to have a clam in it.

Samantha ordered Beer Battered Chicken Nuggets. I tried one and it was wonderful. The crispy beer battered outside of the nugget complemented the steamy soft chicken inside. The order comes with seven sauce options to satisfy your dipping desires.

We both recommend the meals we chose, but plenty of other options on the menu looked delicious as well. All of the plates that passed our table looked amazing and the portions were not shy.

The Customer Service

If you are new to my blog, you may not know that I am allergic to olives. This includes olive oils, olive leaf extract, and anything that has to do with the fruit.

While placing my order, we made it a point to let our waitress know that I am allergic to olives. Crystal was fabulous! She was not our waitress; however, she took it upon herself to double-check the ingredients in the sauces, the chowder, and any items that we ordered.

Having a food allergy, there are times when mistakes happen and I have an allergic reaction while out to eat. I make an effort to try and not be a 'complicated customer' for whoever our server ends up being. The effort Crystal put into making sure I had a stress-free and enjoyable experience and I could just focus on enjoying my time there.

The Atmosphere

MacDuff's Pub is a location that couples, families, and friends alike, can all enjoy while dining. The environment was welcoming with a cute charm in its decor.
